Mit der Version 1.2 des Flash-Webchats lightIRC wurden einmal die Finnische, die Kroatische, die Indonesische und die Portugiesische Sprache hinzugefügt. Das Webcam-Modul wurde auf eine Peer-To-Peer Technik umgestellt, ebenso sind ein paar weitere Einstellungen für die Webcam hinzugekommen. Die Bedienung wurde an einigen Ecken erweitert, das Google Translation Feature wurde entfernt, da die API nicht mehr frei zugänglich ist. In dieser Version und auch in den folgenden Versionen 1.2.1 und 1.2.2 gibt es auch noch vorwiegend weitere Bugfixes sowie ein paar kleinere Erweiterungen.

Von dem Flash-IRC-Webchat lightIRC wurde die Version 1.1 veröffentlicht. Mit der neuen Version kommen Übersetzungen für die Sprachen Ungarisch, Tschechisch, Polnisch und Slowenisch dazu, das Server Passwort wird nicht mehr im Plain-Text angezeigt, es ist nun möglich, ein eigenes Encoding einzustellen, sowie eigene Userlisten Statusicons und man kann nun auch eigene Icons für Nicknamen einstellen. Es gibt nun vordefinierte Ban-Masken im Ban-PopUp, Away-Nachrichten werden im aktiven Chat-Fenster angezeigt, Smilies sind nicht mehr im Serverfenster zu sehen, mIRC Hintergrundfarben werden nun unterstützt, Ignores werden gespeichert, uvm.

lightIRC hat es geschafft – Version 1.0 ist draußen! Die neue Version unterstützt u.a. nun Smilies und Hintergrundfarben sowie nun CSS-Stylesheets, das Webcam-Modul wurde verbessert und es gibt neue Parameter um alles anpassen zu können.

Vom Flash Webchat lightIRC wurde die Version 0.9.9 veröffentlicht. Die neue Version enthält Bugfixes, sowie neue Sprachen und die Proxy-Funktionalität wurde entfernt, mehr siehe Changelog.

Das Team vom lightIRC Flash Webchat hat die Version 0.9.8 veröffentlicht. Die neue Version unterstützt nun u.a. SSL, man kann neue Voreinstellungen treffen und ein polnisches Sprachpaket wurde hinzugefügt.

Eine neue Version, 0.9.7, wurde von dem Flash-Webchat lightIRC veröffentlicht. Es ist die Version mit dem längsten Changelog und bringt viele Bugfixes und neue Features. Der Entwickler teilt mit, dass lightIRC direkt auf dem Weg zu Version 1.0 ist.

Es gibt nun auf dem Triagony.NET Netzwerk seit neuem den lightIRC WebChat, welcher auf Flash basiert. Der NetAdmin brain kündigte aber auch an, dass der AJAX-WebChat Mibbit weiterhin angeboten wird. Ebenso wurde auch angekündigt, dass es seit neuem iFrame-Generatoren gebe, mit denen sowohl ein Code für den lightIRC WebChat, als auch für den Mibbit WebChat erstellt werden könne. Dieser könne dann einfach auf der Homepage eingebunden werden. Im Triagony Wiki wurde auch ein Eintrag zu den WebChats veröffentlicht. Wenn man den WebChat durch das “DirektChat”-Panel auf der Sidebar der Homepage öffnen möchte, so wird nun der Flash-Chat geöffnet.
